Instructions for blacking out your FaceBook

1. Go to Facebook.com and sign-in.
2. Go to your own profile page (link at the top of every page called "Profile")
3. Hover over your profile picture using your mouse, and a link appears labelled "Change picture". click this and choose "Upload picture" and upload this black image (Right-click, Save-As) .
4. Change your status to: is blacked out: Stand up against "Guilt Upon Accusation" for New Zealand http://creativefreedom.org.nz/blackout.html

1. Go to MySpace.com and sign-in.
2. Go to Profile/Customise profile and in in "Select Theme", select the basic theme (the white rectangle)
3. Click "Advanced Edit" set all background and padding colours to #000000 and in Module Bodies set Text to #383838

Instructions for blacking out your Twitter

1. Go to Twitter.com and sign-in.
2. Click on 'Settings' on top left hand of page, and then on 'Picture'.
3. Upload the black image (Right-click, Save-As) , and click 'save'.
4. You're done, but be sure to tweet about #blackout
5. And if you want click on 'Design', then 'Change background image', and upload the black image for a black background (optional)
