I intend to do as much as possible to help The Creative Freedom Foundation and prevent Section 92 being passed.

This law is not the worst way to stop piracy and will restrict creativity.

Great support post on Stumbleupon blog (disclosure, friend of mine):
http://thamus.stumbleupon.com
Stop more idiot lawmakers undermining our freedoms
Thamus is temporarily blacking out in opposition to the obnoxious "Guilt Upon Accusation" law for New Zealand.
Join The New Zealand Internet Blackout to protest against the Guilt Upon Accusation law "Section 92A" that calls for immediate Internet disconnection based on mere accusations of copyright infringement, without any trial, and without any evidence held up to court scrutiny.
This is due to come into effect on February 28th unless immediate action is taken by the National Party.
Join tens of thousands of New Zealanders already protesting against this law by blacking out your Facebook photo, your websites, your Myspace pages, your Twitter account, your Stumbleupon and blog avatars, in protest against this unjust law that is to come into effect on February 28.
Support New Zealand's creative artists and freedom-loving democrats.
Increasing and obsessive actions by control-freak governments in all the democracies are insidiously and rapidly undermining all our civil liberties under the flimsy excuses of the fake war on terror and state interference in our private lives.
Such ridiculous laws aim to shore up the crumbling profits of the bullying and incompetent music and multi-media corporations, who refuse to come up with realistic and fair business plans that embrace the new realities of the global Internet and serve the public good.
Every unjust law in one democracy is soon copied by another weasel government in the others - they have gone from Bush to Blair to Howard to everywhere. Enough!

Count me in.

My blog: http://aotearoaawiderperspective.wordpress.com deals with unpopular subjects such as the events of 911, the financial and economic collapse and the New World Order.

It is my humble opinion that this law has nothing to do with the protection of Artists and their work but everything to do with the fact that the blogosphere has taken over the role of the MSM in spreading information unfavourable to the power elite.

Already in the states MSM has been trying to shut down blogs that copied a paragraph of a news article even though it linked to and acknowledged the author of the articles.
